Description
With a nod to the external framed packs of old, the ExoTi AR2 pairs modern day materials and award-winning design for a backpack with unparalleled comfort and performance. At its core is the titanium ExoTi frame and lumbar support plate that deliver best-in-class load transfer. An ample 46 liter cinch-top bag and multitude of outside pockets easily store most gear while its 3/4 length allows the attachment of bulkier gear directly to the frame underneath (e.g. shelter, sleeping pad, pack raft, bear canister, etc. To improve carrying efficiency, the Load Lifting Compression Strap System keeps the loads high and tight so you can keep on trucking the big miles comfortably. Get the best of the old and new with the ExoTi AR2 Backpack!.

Took it on a two week backcountry hike through the Olympics with 35 lbs of gear. Not sure who thought lumber support belonged in a hip belt. The bowed metal of the lumber support dug deep into the bones of my sacroiliac causing a very painful lump on one side that took weeks to go away. On day three of the hike I had to take a rock to the lumber support and smash it off. After that the pack was awesome, light, and comfy. With lumber support, this pack is a 1, with it removed and replaced with duct tape, a 4. All it is missing are some gear loops on the bottom.
