I bought the Polare Leather Cross Body Sling Bag to use as my EDC (Every Day Carry) bag. You can call it a man purse if you want to. I have a larger bag and I simply put too much stuff in it. It became a chore to move it around. This bag is large enough to carry my most important gear and small enough that I won't be able to overload it. Fully loaded, the bag weighs about 8.5 lbs. or 3.5 kg.The leather is thick and supple. The stitching is well done. The overall construction seems very sturdy. Exactly what I was looking for.My only concern is where the carry strap attaches to the bag. I would prefer to see more reinforcement at the attachment point. Time will tell if my concerns are justified or not.The bag has a large main compartment with a small interior pocket. There is a medium size pocket on the back of the bag where I keep pens, pencils, and a writing pad. The front of the bag has three pockets or pouches. One is large enough to hold my multitool, extra tool-tips, a large ferro rod and my bug bite remedy. The second pocket is large enough to hold a small bottle of soap, a small bottle of hand sanitizer and a couple of small plastic trash bags. The third pocket is very small and will only hold something very flat. I have a couple of loops of duct tape in there. A long zipper at the back of the bag allows the bag to expand to its full size. The main compartment and all of the pockets are lined with a smooth fabric, probably polyester. The lining is of a decent weight. I don't think that it will wear or fray very easily. At the top of the bag is a small, removable pouch. The pouch has a zippered compartment where I carry a bottle of insect repellent and a carabiner. The pouch has a small pocket with a flap. That pocket is only large enough to hold a whistle and a small lighter. The carry strap is made of a canvas material faced with leather. It has a large plastic buckle in the middle of the strap. The strap is adjustable and can be made quite long. I usually carry it hung over my right shoulder or on my left shoulder with the bag hung across my back. With the strap as short as possible, the bag hangs at the small of my back and seems very stable. It doesn't slide to the side very much if I bend over. The bag has a pleasant leather odor. I don't think the smell is too strong. As of this writing, I've had the bag for about a month. I've used it every day and so far it has met or exceeded all my expectations.
