The Osprey Fairview Trek 50 women's travel pack is purpose built for adventure travel that involves extended time walking or on the trail with 50 liters of carrying capacity. With smart organization that makes it easy to find your gear, a highly-ventilated Airspeed back panel for humid climates and an easily adjustable suspension (4 inches of adjustability) that makes it easy to dial in the fit. Some travelling friendly features include a storable Air Cover that protects your bag when you check it that is fully taped so it can double as a rain cover. The front panel fully opens making for easy packing and dual internal compression straps that have fabric wings to keep your clothes neat. More backpacking focused features include a zippered lower compartment, hip belt pockets, upper side and front compression straps and removable sleeping pad straps. Lastly, there is a multi-function sleeve on the back that can carry a hydration reservoir or even a laptop if you put it in a padded case.

This is a wonderful backpack. The hard frame measures 21.5 inches according to my measurements, so therefore, I assume that if you do not stuff it full, it will fit carry on measurements, but please check with your airline before flying. Very comfy, It stops being very comfortable after around 25lb for me but it possibly can work with some adjustments. For me, the reasons to get this is that it has a lockable compared to backpacking packs that have many openings, making them susceptible to pickpockets, and that it will fit carry on dimensions if not packed full and if the compression straps are used. The other Fairviews do not come close in terms of the quality of their suspension and are not good for people who will walk/trek with their packs during travels, in my opinion.
