The bag is real leather. Smells great! I need to carry two 15” laptops with me to work. This bag is perfect for that. There is plenty of storage space for multiple chargers, pads of paper, pens, etc. but what I am really impressed with are the zippers. I have only owned it for a week, but I can tell the heavy duty zippers will give me no problem for years to come.The dark brown leather looks great. It will only look better as it gets worn in. You really do get what you pay for; this was a good choice.
