I have another pair of Magnanni which fits me perfect. So I decided to order from the same brand. I knew the size that would fit me from this brand/type, so I didn't need to try it on and simply ordered it from Amazon (which was amazing as usual). But when they arrived I tried them on and noticed that this pair was about 1in longer than the other model I have. The width fit is still the same but the length was not as expected. Unfortunately.Update 1:After a couple of weeks of wearing these shoes I would like to add that they are very comfortable for all-day wear in the office. The rubber sole actually works rather well as it gives you sufficient traction with the ceramic floor (in our office hallways) and due to being rather sturdy it maintains the shape of the shoe unlike my Gucci pair which had very soft rubber sole which resulted in the tips of the shoes pulling up. So, other than them being slightly longer than my preferred fit I find them to be a suitable option for office/dress shoes.Update 2: just upgraded it to 5 star... After all they fit well and work well... and practically became my preferred footware for office use... Considering ordering another pair of this, but may try to by a size smaller and a size wider version to see if they would be even better match considering the length matter I mentioned in my original review...Update 3:So, my normal size is 8, but with these I went down to 7.5 but took "W" version, which was a perfect fit for me as I have somewhat wide foot. I actually purchased 1 pair in this size first and then approximately a year later I bought the last remaining 7.5W on Amazon as I liked them that much... So, ended up with 3 pairs of this same model as they are a perfect fit for my office dress code.Highly recommended! It was immediately apparent that these are very well-made dress shoes. The high quality leather, finishes, and timeless styling makes these appropriate for a professional work environment. The rubberized bottoms provide sure footing on wet pavement unlike the dress shoes I've worn in the past. The fit was true to size, but took a few days to get broken in. I waited to provide a review to confirm what I thought would happen- these have gotten more comfortable over time and seem built to last. Hopefully, that remains the case considering the price tag. My only knock is a minor one. There is a small area in the crease of one shoe where the color was a little thin. I like the character of the leather, and understand a certain degree of upkeep and care is required to keep these nice as time goes on. Overall, I'm pleased with the purchase and would consider this brand again.I typically wear worsted wool pants with 100 percent cotton shirts from Nordstrom. These shoes are an excellent match and help complete the look. The cap toe adds a touch of elegance. Also, they are not super shiny -- which to me looks cheap unless you happen to be wearing a tuxedo. They have a matte finish with a slight shine so they are perfect for a professional look at work and also for black tie events. Yes, they do have a rubber sole but look no different than those with a leather sole. The difference here is that these shoes are extremely comfortable. At work, I'm on my feet quite a bit moving from meeting to meeting and need the extra comfort. To keep them looking better for a longer period of time, don't forget to purchase (and use daily) cedar shoe trees. I bought these over AE's and would do so again.Great shoes overall. I agree with with other posted reviews that the front of this shoe is a bit narrow looking and more so in person as compared to the pictures. They fit great though and break in after about 2 days. They were very stiff, particularly around the heel, but that went away after about 2 days. The inside is very soft leather. They are a bit narrower than other shoes I have been wearing over the past 5 years or so, but I have quickly become used to the look and I love them. With regards to the fit, I usually wear a 10.5 and ordered these in a 10.5. They fit spot on and I see no need to order a size down or up from what you normally wear. These shoes are so great that I actually bought 2 pairs. I wear pricey dress shoes daily for work and they are on my feet for 12 - 16 hours sometimes so they usually go through a lot (commuting, rain, snow, beer spills...) and barely last 1 year. Out of the two pairs I purchased, I have worn the first pair daily for about one year and they still look relatively new and feel comfortable. The craftsmanship is excellent and the leather is very soft and feels amazing. These are the first shoes I have owned where the laces wore-out before the shoes.Very nicely designed shoe, seemingly god quality, though the last was far more narrow than average. Even the wide size was still narrow for me. I regretfully had to return them. Nice shoes otherwise. This is my third pair. I have had mixed results. I really like the style and comfort. But this pair squeaks when I walk, especially if they get barely wet. The first two did not do that. But this will make me find a different pair next time.Got these shoes on sale, they are very nice, some people on here posted about size being wrong, i wear a ten and found that a ten fit just right.
