We went for a 2 hour snowmobile tour in Colorado in 20 degree weather and these boots kept my fiancées feet warm and dry!!! Great winter boots. He even wears them to work in the winter for those days he has to work outdoors. These boots are amazingly comfortable and warm. I only had one chance to use them this season before the weather got too warm for them, but it was 9 degrees when I did and my feet (toes especially) were very warm. I was in my unheated, uninsulated garage forging for 2.5 hours and didn't even think about my feet once. Definitely a first for me in weather that cold.I will update this review next cold season when I have had the chance to test these boots further. As of now though, I'd have to say these boots are pretty awesome. The boot seemed to be of good construction. They could have been comfortable if the were large enough. I ordered my regular size and the boots were too short for my feet.I didn't care for the lace eyelets. They look like the lace slips in from back, for speed lacing, but they have to be strung through the eyelets. These boots are warm and comfortable. They appear to have good traction on icy surfaces. I have not walked in any snow orpudedles but they appear to be well constructed. When i first put it on i thought i should have gone a size larger. I wear size 15 (sometimes 14's with some brands) and was surprised I might need 16's in these. However the thick insulation on the inside gave it that tight feeling. I suspected that was the case, and after wearing it for a couple of days it broke it nicely and felt like a perfect fit. The boots are very comfortable and have great tread and look amazing.I purchased this boot to my 30 year old Sorel boots that had begun to leak. The new boots fit and are quite comfortable right out of the box. We've had an epic snow season already this year in the Inland NW and my feet are remaining perfectly dry. Sorel comes through once again.I had my doubts for these boots when arrived, but now that I've used them numerous times, they are comfortable and warm. I've worn them in over 3 ft. of snow with snow shoes and used ice treckers on them in ice, they Rock! Highly recommend! FYI I size my feet with Nike and Brooks runners if that helps anyone orderingA little on the heavy side, but overall a great product. Love themSo after 3 months testing in the arctic. They are comfortable although it needs one month walking on them to actually get there. They are cold bellow -10 and you will freezing foot and frost bites with -30. They are only warm if you walk. I had to buy thermal insoles and even then they are cold.I have another cheap pair from Viking and they are warmer than Sorel. It was a waste of money. I work with tourists and everyone I meet that has Sorel regrets buying them...I love my Meindl walking boots, but they are pretty heavy, and I wanted something lighter that I could put on when I go for a shorter walk. These Sorel are top and are completely waterproof. I've been in water up to my ankle and worn them for a whole day in the rain and snow without any leaks.I'm normally either a 9 or 9.5 UK. In these, I went with 9.5, and I feel they are a little bigger than I would have liked, just about fine with thick socks.I have a wide foot and normally take a size 9 so ordered that size accordingly. The size 9's I received were slightly on the small side for length (width is great), so returned them (great returns service by the way) and ordered a pair of 9.5 instead. The 9.5's are just right.Based on this, I would totally recommend the boots as a product from what I have seen so far, but would suggest ordering at least a half size larger, possibly even a full size larger if you plan to always wear thick socks. These boots are excellent for the money. Very warm and comfortable, done about 350 miles in them so far and so sign of wear at all. I always used to go for Berghaus but these are so much easier to wear. Had a couple of 30 mile+ walks and my feet felt as fresh as when I set out....definitely recommend giving these a go or at least check out the brand and other reviews. One minor thing is you do tend to feel the larger stones through the sole but not enough to make it uncomfortable at all.So far so good. I bought these for walking the dog in the lovely Scottish winter weather. They are comfortable, warm and waterproof. They are a wee bit clumpy and I probably wouldn't wear them to a wedding but for their purpose they are perfect. Got my exact size and they were roomy enough for boot socks.
