Recently traveled to Norway and saw so many people with a DB backpack - everyone from kids to commuters to seniors. Stopped into a local sporting goods store and thought I'd look at one. When I picked it up I could not believe how lightweight it was. When I got home I immediately looked on Amazon and sure enough, they had them. I originally ordered the 20L which turned out to be just a bit small for my needs. Reordered the next size up, which is about 25L and it's perfect. As a woman, I have always disliked the way a lot of backpacks are designed, with wide straps and soft materials, which basically makes the backpack's contents pull the weight down off your shoulders. The DB sits high and molds to your back. It's got a narrower, deeper construction, so holds an ample amount of weight but because it sits upright, the weight is better distributed. I'm using this as a commuting backpack, but will also likely have it as my travel bag for flights. It's roomy enough to hold all your tech - (it has a great laptop compartment with a side zipper) - as well as a change of clothes, and personal items. The pockets are separated out, so you can stay organized and the top compartment is extremely convenient for stowing sunglasses, keys, phone, wallet anything you need to keep handy. I especially love that this featured pocket is on the top and not on the back like most backpacks I've owned. This makes it safer, less of a pickpocket target, since the zipper is nearer your head and not low on your back, and also less likely that I'd just forget to zip it and potentially have something fall out. Definitely anticipate getting a lot of mileage out of the Db bag and appreciate it's thoughtful design, light weight and roominess. Db was founded in Norway in 2009 by freeski legend Jon Olsson and engineer Truls Brataas with the goal of redefining travel gear to enable better journeys. According to their website, Db designs and markets backpacks, carry bags, luggage, and accessories for urban people who love outdoor lifestyles and travel and I'd say they've nailed it, because they've figured out how to design a bag that takes those outdoor principles and translates them into urban functionality. Very happy with this purchase and definitely recommend this backpack. Additionally, seller shipped quickly and everything in good condition.
