Love this pack! My test hike was a 10-mile mountain trail, and I was impressed. It's appropriately sized for day hikes, hydration compatible, and incredibly supportive. The hip belt does a great job with weight transfer, and the system of support straps helps cinch the whole pack in so there's no jostling. The material seems thick and durable, it comes with a rain cover, and the elastic side pockets fit a nalgene perfectly. The hip pockets are handy for small things but I will say, they don't hold a large smartphone easily (that wasn't an issue for me, as I prefer to keep my phone in my pocket). I'm 5'4" and the small is a perfect fit. All in all, I'm thrilled with this pack.Edit: I've been hiking and camping with this pack for a year and a half now, and I'm even more thrilled with it than when I first wrote the review. It's held up beautifully, and I love how comfortable and supportive it is...so much so that it's what I'll choose to carry for very short hikes, even when I don't need to carry as much stuff as this pack holds. The frame does an amazing job with weight transfer, and the design allows a lot of airflow. My husband is actually planning to get a Zulu (the male version of this pack) because he likes mine so much!
